Rose Garden

Poem: Rose Garden

by Liam

In that far off garden

God whispered to a rose

Its waking petals primed to life

Songs of colour to behold

Rarest fairest handsome

Perfume dancing from the bud

A tear too, fell that morning

Blessed, from Gods cheek into the mud

The rose in wonder answered;

“My flower of perfection, is here for all to see,

God gave me thorn as well, this will set you free.”

The pain we some times suffer

The fear I some times fight

Gods tear is the reminder of

This love to never flout

A gift to every garden green

The rose’s red is always seen

The hidden thorn is always mean.
