Poem Poetry: Poison
By Liam
Your presence spikes me
Your words too
like the spiders bite noxious poison
Corrupts the spelling
A Blackened web spreads
Pain against which the antihistamine in my mind shrivels
It’s killing this
Sweet death we have played
Coagulated the red blood
While breathing I slowly choked
Not lack of air, absence of love
Froze the morning light
Taking my sight to distant barren landscapes
Alone, bones bleached
I stand await
Darkness take me beyond that heavy door of day
Let night come
Away
Away
Away
