Come back home, come back & see
See all the flowers, the lilies & me
Come back soon, here to the sea
Come watch the waves breaking,
On the far side of the Lee
Come walk again slowly,
By the wide grey strand
This heart waits lonesome
I still long for thy hand
Come back home, where we frolicked
Where we laughed the day long,
All night we made music
I sang thee a song.
Of swallows a swooping,
Of wind in the trees,
Of splashing bright rivers,
Of Love under the eaves.
We laced the fresh morning,
caught stars on a string
Filled the horn slowly
Loves message I bring.
Return soon my darling,
Far away beats your heart
Let us dance in the moon light,
Let us make a new start
Write the new chapter
Spin leaves in the air.
Wake every morning
To this love we do share.
